A quick snap of the town of Neum in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As I'm leisurely driving through this town today, I remember not too long ago talking about the Bosnian conflict in my political science classes at University. A combination of political turmoil and ethnic tension between Serbs and Bosnian Muslims in the 1990s led to war and the worst genocide in Europe since the Holocaust. Mind boggling! There are still some areas that are unsafe to visit due to landmines, but none that we will be going to of course.
